Secure Ordering Process

Any credit card information you enter on our site is strongly encrypted by industry-standard protocol, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Survivall.ca uses SSL to communicate with secure browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, OsX Safari and Internet Explorer. These browsers encrypt your credit card and personal information in a way that makes it extremely difficult for anyone to decode. Don't worry if your browser is secure or not - if it is insecure, you will not be able to purchase on our online store.

Once you have completed your order online, our security procedures do not end. For example, the moment you press "submit" to send you order, the encrypted order is sent directly to our order processing system. Your order is automatically pushed through the system and never "sits" in an unsecured queue. After the order processing system is finished with the information it is deleted so no one can gain access to your information in the future.

Ways to tell when you are in a secure section: In all browsers, look for the "http" in the URL to change to "https." The added "s" represents that you have entered a secure area. The entire ordering process on .ca's online store, from when you decide to checkout until your order is confirmed, is conducted on a secure server. Further, most popular browsers have a symbol to indicate secure mode.

- Netscape Communicator 6.0– A closed lock will appear at the bottom right side of your browser window when you are in a secure section. When unsecure, the lock is open.

- MS Internet Explorer– A closed lock on the lower right side of the browser window indicates a secure page. If unsecure, nothing is present.

Survivall.ca will only allow customers to order via the on-line store if the Internet server is secure. The security certificate is built in to your web browser to allow secure access to Internet servers when performing such tasks as on-line banking or providing your credit card number, to protect your personal information.

In some cases, customers may encounter a dialog box stating "Certificate Authority is Expired" when ordering through a secure server. If you receive this dialog box, please click "Continue" and your connection with our web site will be secure. To verify that your browser is secure, look at the bottom of your browser window; Netscape displays a solid key and Internet Explorer displays a closed lock.

To avoid the dialog box in the future, you must upgrade your Browser. To do this, visit your browser's web site and download the latest version of your browser; www.mozilla.org, www.aol.com, or www.microsoft.com. Be sure to restart your computer after upgrading your browser in order to be able to connect to Survivall.ca's secure server and place your order on-line.
